Bread and Wine Tasting

Miche Bread and Austin Wine Merchant are hosting a wine and bread tasting on Saturday October 24th from 12PM – 3PM at the Austin Wine Merchant (512 West Sixth Street Austin, Texas 78701).
 
Naturally leavened whole grain breads will be featured with Wirra Wirra wines from Adelaide, Australia. Pairings include: Rye + Coriander with Scrubby Rise Sauvignon, and Red Fife Wheat with Scrubby Rise Shiraz Cabernet. Not to be missed will be Signature Miche pain au levain throughout the tasting. More information about the breads:

  • Rye + Coriander. Dark and mysterious with an explosion of coriander. Slow-chew with pungent flavors...this is not your grandmother's bread
  • Red Fife. A dominant wheat of the 1800’s being resurrected by small farmers such as Hayden Mills. Unexpectedly rich with traces of herbs, spices…and unparalleled nuttiness
